Booking a trial lesson online
Updated Oct 9, 2026
For familiesMany studios let you book a trial lesson yourself, from a link they share or a form on their website. If you cannot find one, your studio may not take bookings online — contact them directly.
Booking
Choose the instrument. If the studio teaches both at the studio and in students' homes, choose At the studio or At my home.
Press See available times and pick one.
Enter your details and the student's. Booking for yourself? Tick The lesson is for me.
Press Request this time.
If somebody else books the same time while you are filling in the form, you are shown the times that are still open.
The studio confirms it
A booking is a request until the studio approves it. The time is held for you in the meantime, and you get an email saying so. A second email follows once the studio confirms, with the date, time and teacher.
If the studio cannot take it, or does not answer before the hold ends, you are emailed about that instead — with a link to pick another time, where the studio has a booking page.
Lessons at home
For a lesson at your home, enter your address and choose up to three days and a time of day that suit you. The studio uses your address to find a teacher who is already nearby at that time; it is shared only with the studio and our map service.
No times that suit?
When nothing is open in the next few weeks — or the studio is not offering times for your address — you get a short request form instead. Tell the studio which Days and times that work for you, press Send request, and they will be in touch to find a time.
Good to know
A trial may be free or have a price, and the form says which. Nothing is charged online — you pay the studio their usual way.
You can have up to two booking requests open with a studio at a time.
Once the trial is confirmed, the studio takes it from there: the regular weekly lesson, the agreement and the billing all come from them.
