Building and saving reports
Updated Oct 9, 2026
For studio ownersReports has two halves: an overview that is always there, and a builder for the questions only you are asking.
The overview
The main Reports page answers the recurring questions without any setup — revenue by month, lessons taught, the enrollment funnel, teacher performance, make-up credits earned and redeemed, and sales tax collected. Set the date range at the top and every panel follows it.
Month-by-month figures are read from enrollment history, not from where a student stands today. That is what stops last quarter's numbers changing behind you: a trial that later converts stays counted in the month it trialled, and a past month reads the same today as it did then.
Building your own
Under Custom reports, start from a standard report or build one from scratch. A report is five choices:
A dataset — lessons, enrollments, invoices, payments, students, or make-up credits.
Columns — the fields you want to see.
Filters — narrow it down: equals, contains, greater or less than, is empty, and so on.
Grouping and metrics — group by a field and count or total across it, for a summary instead of a list.
A date range — this month, last month, this or last quarter, year to date, the last twelve months, all time, or exact dates you pick. You also choose which of the dataset's dates the range applies to, which matters when a row has more than one.
Saving and re-running
Save a report and it joins Your saved reports. A saved report stores the question, not the answer — opening it runs it again against today's data, so a report you built in March is still correct in September.
Exporting
CSV — from the results of any report, for a spreadsheet or your bookkeeper.
PDF — from a saved report, for something you can send or file.
Standard reports
The builder ships with ready-made reports grouped by what they are about — financial, people and operations. They are ordinary reports: open one, change anything you like, and save it as your own.
Retention
How many students you keep is on your Dashboard rather than here: the studio's retention over the last 90 days, and — for you and managers holding Reports — the figure for each teacher. Each teacher sees their own on their portal's Calendar.
