The Encore Studio app for teachers
Updated Oct 9, 2026
The Encore Studio app for iPhone and Android is launching in December 2026 and is not in the stores yet. The same app serves families and teachers; this article covers the teaching side. Everything here also works in the teacher portal in your browser.
What you will be able to do
Schedule — your lessons week by week. From a lesson you can mark attendance (Present, Late or No-show), correct it for a while afterwards, and use Cancel lesson, saying whether the family cancelled or you are cancelling.
Students — who is coming up in the next 30 days and your whole roster. A student's page shows the family's contact details, make-up credits and the shared notes log; Add a note to it, shared with the studio team.
Messages — your conversations with families, and Message a family to start one. Nothing is sent as a text; it lands in their portal and inbox.
Coverage — lessons needing a sub, with Offer to cover; Request sub for one of yours; and Request time off for whole days. Your studio still picks who covers, and nothing on your calendar changes until they do.
Profile — your weekly teaching hours under Availability, and your tickets with Encore under Support.
Signing in
Sign in with the email address your studio invited you at — Email me a code, Use a password instead, Continue with Apple or Continue with Google. The app has no sign-up of its own: your studio's teacher invitation is what links your login to your teaching.
Teach at one studio and have a child at another — or at the same one? One login covers both. The app asks who you are here for, with a Teaching row for each studio you teach at, and Switch studio or family takes you back to choose again.
Notifications
When the app launches it will be able to tell you about a new message from a family, a cancelled lesson, a lesson needing a sub, a sub assigned to you or to your lesson, a reply on your time-off request, and a reply from Encore Support. They follow your studio's email settings for teachers, and the lock screen never shows message text or your students' names.
Deleting your login
A login linked to a studio as a teacher cannot be deleted from the app. The steps are at encorestudio.app/help/delete-account.
Studio owners and managers
The app is for families and teachers. Running the studio stays on the web: sign in to the app with a login that only owns or manages a studio and it says so — Studio settings are on the web. If you also teach, or have a child taking lessons, you see that side of the app as usual.
